Position – Role required
IMS GIOTTO is looking for an Electronics Technician for the Design Department (R&D).
Job description
- Wiring design and possible creation of prototypes;
- Implementation of production wiring drawings or management of their creation by third party suppliers;
- Manage the production of cables by third parties;
- Support the production and technical support departments and third-party suppliers;
- Diagnose and repair/rework electronic circuits using PTH/SMD components;
- Carry out laboratory tests and measurements on boards and equipment;
- Managing the electronic laboratory;
- Preparation of technical documentation.
Experience and Skills
- Interpreting electrical/electronic diagrams and mechanical drawings;
- Use of laboratory equipment: soldering irons, desoldering tools, crimping pliers for electrical terminals/contacts;
- Use of laboratory equipment.
Preferred skills:
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role;
- Technical knowledge of materials and cable manufacturing technologies;
- Experience in building test equipment;
- Experience in electronic board rework;
- Knowledge of third party wiring supplier operating methods;
- Experience with IGE-XAO SEE Electrical Expert software;
- Experience of 2D CAD software (AutoCAD).
