Position – Role required

IMS GIOTTO is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to work in the Research and Development department.

Job description

• The individual will report directly to the CEO and will manage the activities of the technical office, coordinating 2 designers and interacting with external design offices;
• They will gather feedback from the production department on changes and improvements to be made to the equipment;
• They will gather feedback from the commercial/marketing department regarding the development of new products;
• They will propose innovative design solutions and study solutions adapted to the product itself, optimising production times and costs;
• They will draw up the technical documentation for each project;
• Where necessary, they will be directly involved in the design and production of mechanical engineering drawings using 3D CAD.

Experience and Skills

• Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering;
• Significant experience, at least 3-5 years, in similar roles in mechanical manufacturing companies producing components for the automation sector;
• Language skills;
• Excellent knowledge of Solidworks/Autocad and Microsoft Office Suite;
• Good knowledge of ISO 9000 standards and Machinery Directive;
• Good knowledge of English.
