General Overview
GIOTTO IMAGE 3DL is an elegant digital mammography system for the highest comfort of both patients and radiographers, thanks to the perfect ergonomic design and the complete and intuitive user interface.
The system enhances his flexibility through the inclination toward the patient for an easier positioning, upward to allow the relaxation of the pectoral muscle for more breast tissue visualization and the possibility to perform stereotactic biopsies, even in prone position.

Patented circular gantry
The unique circular shape allows the additional option of face-to-face positioning which can make technologist’s work easier and quicker. Conventional positioning is however not impaired by the system shape and therefore possible whenever required.
Wide range of movements
The tilting movement of the gantry requires the patient to lean to this, improving the relaxation of the pectoral muscle and an increase of up to 2 cm in breast tissue included in the field of view*.
Furthermore, the tilting movement in the opposite direction facilitates the positioning of women in a wheelchair.
It is also possible to tilt the gantry down to the horizontal position to perform procedures in prone position.

Stereotactic Prone Biopsy
When combined with the Biopsy Digit SL and MAMMOBED accessories, the system allows stereotactic biopsies with the patient in prone position and with the ability to choose the best possible approach to the breast (frontal, frontal inclined or lateral).

Control panels
Four control panels placed in strategic locations of the gantry enable motorized movements in a quick and easy way.
With a single click on the isocentric movements touch control it is possible to automatically rotate the gantry for the next view of the acquisition protocol.

Sensitive compression
The Sensitive Compression System (SCS) is an optimized regulation of the compression speed through the patient positioning to decrease patient’s discomfort and pain during the examination.
High configurability
A large choice of compressor paddles and optional accessories for further projections are available to suit most screening or diagnostic workflow.
