Giotto Class Prone CEM Biopsy

General description

An innovative solution in the field of breast interventional medicine, that integrates the SMART FINDER accessories—a 2D and 3D biopsy guidance system—the FLEXITABLE prone table, and Contrast-Enhanced Mammography (CEM). This combination allows physicians to perform biopsies on lesions visible only with CEM, keeping the patient in the prone position, thus ensuring a more precise and comfortable procedure.

More compliant patients

Thanks to the FLEXITABLE option, IMS Giotto Class mammography system is the only system on the market that enables CEM biopsies to be performed in the prone position. This unique feature keeps patients lying down from the injection of the contrast medium to the sampling of the affected area, which drastically reduces the number of cases of vasovagal syncope. A less anxious patient means a faster, more precise biopsy procedure and a more accurate diagnosis.

Fast procedures

Thanks to the exclusive metal-ceramic tube with direct air-cooling heat dissipation, pauses between acquisitions are minimized. This speeds up Tomo-guided biopsies and dual-energy contrast-enhanced (CEM) procedures.

Full access to the lesion

Full access to lesions thanks to the possibility of tilting the access route or changing the type of approach. Vertical, lateral and angled approaches without the need for additional accessories, allowing even the most challenging lesions to be reached.
